October is such a fun month for me and for City Life. It marks the beginning of the holidays, allows us to be festive, to gather, and to find joy despite a gloomy and wet fall. This month we went to Bob’s Corn & Pumpkin Farm, met with Student Leaders to carve pumpkins, gathered weekly for City Life, learned about the valuable life skill of time management, and held our annual Halloween Party!

Allow me to brag once more on how amazing our Monroe interns and Student Leaders are!  Our interns, Andrea and Alondra, did an incredible job coordinating fun and impactful programs this month as well as used their super creative minds to put together our Halloween party.

Student leaders killed it at being available and being flexible with whichever roles they were given to help run the Halloween party. Thank you to everyone who made this month one for the books! I am so grateful for the support of our meal team, friends, interns, student leaders, and church family. We are creating such meaningful experiences for our students that they will never forget.

So again, Thank you all so much! Thanks for praying with us and believing with us. May God bless you and your families. smile

  • Pray for Juan Morales Peres and celebrate with us as we celebrate him graduating from marine boot camp!
  • Pray for City Life year to be full of many God moments and that our students would feel safe and secure returning indoors and meeting again.
  • Pray for the health and well being of myself and our leaders - that we would not have any COVID scares and will have peace of mind.
  • Pray for my dad’s health and recovery from a surgical procedure he had recently.

If you are interested in getting involved or supporting us you can click here. We are recruiting meal teams, sponsors for events, and prayer warriors to keep us in their thoughts.
