A New Season & A Call to Prayer!

October is my favorite month of the year. Not only is it my birthday month, but it is also when we start programs for the year, the weather get colder, the trees are so beautiful, and there is a very distinct season shift!

This month, we launched our drop in center, kicked off City Life club, and partnered with Mill Creek Foursquare church to do a 4 week workshop with our students on writing their story and expressing themselves through photography. The leaders and myself have been connecting with and mentoring students. I have even been working with a few girls who are learning to drive for the first time! So many good things in this new season!!!

One thing that has been a heavy burden on my heart and mind lately is how many times a week I hear about students fighting either at parties, their schools, or in their neighborhoods. This past month, one of our girls was jumped by another girl who had a problem with her on the way to drop in center. I do know that our battle is not "against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12);" it is a very real reminder for us to continue to show up, love our students, point them to the truth of God's love/word because they have a very real enemy who they don't understand that seeks to destroy their lives (1 Peter 5:8)!

PLEASE join me in praying against these dark forces who are trying to destroy and devalue the very lives we are seeking to save!

  • Starting all our programs this month!
  • Everyone staying healthy!
  • New students are coming to drop in and club!

  • For the gang members and those who are pursuing violence!
  • For our students to hunger to know God and His truth!
  • For our students to invite their friends!
  • For our students who are struggling academically!
