Growth Mindset: “In a growth mindset, people believe that their most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work—brains and talent are just the starting point. This view creates a love of learning and a resilience that is essential for great accomplishment.” (Dweck, 2015)

Spring is a time of growth and new beginnings. Likewise, the ministry at Cultured continues to grow in the mindset of love and encouragement of the faith. One of the main parts of Youth for Christ's ministry strategy is connecting students with a Bible-believing church to help them grow and have fellowship with other believers of all demographics and age groups. We are so excited that we are able to worship alongside Emerald City Bible Fellowship (ECBF) and provide a place for our students to do just that.

Our dance team was able to worship with ECBF for their first in-person service since the COVID-19 closure. Not only was it a refreshing experience, but it provided a space for the students to serve at church. We hope that they will begin to attend consistently and have hearts to serve more frequently. Having a Bible-believing church for the girls to attend is such a blessing and another sign of growth.

The Cultured team started 2021 knowing that we cannot rely on the growth of ministry with the leaders only, but we must also encourage growth in our students. Spring break was proof that we have grown as a family and created a space of healing and love. We spent the week serving the community, hanging out at places like the Chihuly Garden and Glass museum, spending time together at an in-person Cultured Night, and other really cool activities.

  • Pray that we can be a blessing to our community and help out our new potential partners throughout the year.
  • Pray that the students understand the reason for church and that church won't feel like an obligation, but something they want to participate in.
  • Pray for more male leaders in our ministry.
  • Pray that we can be financially stable in order to have the transportation and support needed for our ministry when we have activities for the youth.
