Generous Hearts

The Holiday Season is upon us! All the family gatherings, conversations around the dinner table, family photos, and cultural traditions fill my heart.

This month our focus word was GENEROSITY. Often when talking about generosity, our minds can associate that word with money. I shared with students that there are many ways to be generous.

  • Time Generosity: How many hours are you spending scrolling on social media or watching tv?
  • Attention Generosity: How often are you multitasking while someone is talking to you?
  • Energy Generosity: How often are you saying NO to things to say YES to things and people that truly matter?
  • Financial Generosity: Can you skip on buying coffee to bless someone?

I read over Proverbs 11:25 which says, “The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed."  It is beautiful to receive, but more so to give. Don’t let your bank account tell you that you can’t afford generosity. Let’s be creative and hold space to be generous in various ways.

Thank you, a million times thank you! We are still here because of God and because of your support!

  • Pray with me for Odle Middle school as they grieve and remember the life of a student who died by suicide on campus.
  • Pray with me for Angeles and Angie as they continue their discipleship with Kalos Church.

We've reach our goal to be able to bring the warmth of the holiday season to our students with a hoodie! I hope you have a delicious and safe Thanksgiving!
